Scripture tells us that our lives are examples. To whom? Is it only to others in this world, or is there a larger connotation here? Ephesians 3:10 answers this question for us.

"His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places."

We should not skip over this verse too quickly or take its message too lightly. Each word holds great meaning. Take the word "intent", for instance. This tells us that the universe we see about us did not come into existence by chance, as the evolutionists tell us. There is design in the universe that reveals intent. Intent comes from intelligent beings, not from senseless forces.

" . . . manifold wisdom . . ." God has more than one reason for creating the universe and us. His wisdom is manifold and the universe he created to display that wisdom is unimaginably complex--to be a fitting backdrop to correspond to those who would inhabit it. The human soul is complex and profound beyond our comprehension.

There are other aspects as well of the wisdom of God that are revealed in the universe he created. And all of them have purposes that reach far beyond the physical universe.

Scripture for today: Ephesians 3:10
Thought for today: The wisdom of God stretches far beyond the world I can see.
Prayer for today: I worship you, God, for the wisdom you display in your creation.
