As demons who rebelled against God watch human beings who believe in Jesus walk daily in faith in him, and as angels who did not rebel see the same -- both learn through a living panorama that one group and their decision is really wrong and one is really right. No moral relativism here. (And where do you suppose all this moral relativism we see in our world today comes from? Satan is still trying to force his view on reality, as proof or vindication that he was right in rebelling against God and his ways.)
These are the "cloud of witnesses" (Heb. 12:1) in the heavenly places, along possibly with those believers who have already left this world and joined the angels in the heavens.
Each of us has the same choice--and resulting consequences--as these witnesses had. Every human being has the choice of either responding in acceptance or rejection of the message of the Play and his or her own part in it.
We have this choice, but it is foolish to reject our part, though we may freely do so. The life each of us is designed to live was decided by God long ago. Do you think it is wise to argue with God about your destiny? (see Eccl 6:10, especially as translated in the New Living Testament). We should notice the way God does things and then fall into line and not fight the ways of God, for as Eccl. 7:13 says, "Who can straighten what he has made crooked?".
Good advice.
Scripture for today: Hebrews 12:1-4
Thought for today: It is an honor to play my part in God's Play.
Prayer for today: Almighty God, I am not worthy to play my role in your great play, but you yourself have made me worthy by the sacrifice of your Son. You are worthy, Lord, to have this great drama lived out for your purposes.
