"So I prophesied as I was commanded" (Ezek. 37:7).
Ezekiel respected and reverenced God and his word. His attitude and spirit was, "If God tells me to do something, I do it."
Ezekiel had a right spirit. Do you? What is your attitude towards God, his Word? Do have a right spirit within you, as the psalmist yearned so earnestly for?
Whether you have a right spirit or not will determine what you receive from God's Word. Obey that Word, as Ezekiel did in a right spirit, and you will receive life from that Word. Ignore it or disobey it, and you will remain dead.
When we obey God's commands and call upon our life, things begin to happen.
"So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone" (v. 7).
When we catch God's vision for our lives, and obey that vision and work towards fulfilling it in our lives by his grace, things start happening. Our disconnected lives begin to come together and start making sense. Disjointed lives become connected and begin working towards the purpose of God for those lives. And it all comes about because of having God's vision for our lives and obeying that vision.
Scripture for today: Ezekiel 37:7
Thought for today: My life begins to make sense when I obey God's vision for that life.
Prayer for today: Lord, help me to see your vision for my life and to obey that vision.
